Phew! Not color-corrected either, sorry sorry. I'll get all..what, 20 pages? corrected, and printed and hey, even bound together. Maybe sell 'em on the website if all goes well. But free previews here while it's in progress is always nice, no?

This one has yet to be color-corrected so... I apologize if it looks very off, say, very yellow, or very green, or even neon-looking. It's fairly unsaturated on my computer if that's any consulation! This one took a bit longer than the first page, mainly because I kept going either too light or too dark. Do I leave in all these details or take them all out? etc etc. I suppose it's sometimes a good sign to constantly question yourself.

So, the story continues!

Pinky Swear

I brought my scanner back from Jersey. Hence the images to the left!

...I really haven't thought of a good enough title for this comic. It was originally entitled 'The Box' because of the guy's prison. But it's come a long way from simply being all about the imprisonment.

It's 19 pages in length, so far the longest of the unconventional origami series. These are the first three pages, inked and cleaned up if you're curious about the process. I suppose it'll make more sense once it's all finished and in color. If I'm lucky, I'll get them colored by the end of the week. Maybe...?

Belle

Same client, 5'2" model Isobella Jade wanted her story told in a comic panel sort of format. Since I've been working constantly in Flash for my internship, I decided to try coloring these in flash as well. Here's two out of the 6-8 panels I've been working on:


I'm currently in the middle of relocating to Brooklyn, hence the slow updates! I'll be working full-time as a Junior Designer for SMERC, in the city, but I DO still plan to update with any new work I crank out!

Too Many Things!

It's all happening at once! First off, I have the line-work for my first of 6 sequential art stories up in my sequential art section which you can find here. In the next week or so, I'll add a two-tone flat color on it so it's easier on the eyes than just lines. I only have about 2 more stories in my head before I have to really start scratching my skull. I really DO want about 6 stories put together. Here's the whole story:

I made a few rules/guidelines/restrictions for myself in which there is absolutely no dialogue and each comic involves origami being used in an unconventional way (Seeds, transportation, weapons, and so forth). There's no page limit and...it's kind of exciting as I really don't have much coming my way at the moment.

Also, I've joined up on IllustrationMundo, go search for me if you'd like! It's pretty exciting to see how many people have clicked on the Scissors Cut Paper icon I have set up for it. Also, if you're there check out my latest obsession with Amy Sol whose work is somewhat similar-looking to Audrey Kawasaki but both have their own uniqueness that makes their work absolutely gorgeous. There's just something about girls that look super-airy and somewhat confused in their surreal settings.

I'm currently looking for jobs related to art in NYC. I've been searching for the past three weeks or so when a storyboard position opened for an animation studio. After sending off my resume and updating my website, I'm praying to someone out there that I get this job. The suspense will kill me over the next few days.
