Animated Hummingbirds
I hadn't animated anything in awhile, and I also hadn't tried to export an animated gif without getting awful colors/artifacts all over it via Flash. So I decided to try and animate one of my illustrations for a change, using a few extra steps to get a clearer animation. It was definitely worth trying out! Hope to animate a few other things in the near future.

Young Justice doodle - Robin 'n KF
SO. I watched the first season of Young Justice because it’s on Netflix. And Lemme. Tell. You.
The bromance between Kid Flash and Robin was phenomenal and hilarious. These two were great together - AND Wally West knew Dick Grayson’s identity when NO ONE else did. So cute, so they get a little roughed up doodle.
ALSO all the grammar-vocabulary bits where Robin broke down words and their meanings, like whelmed, dis in disaster etc, was fun. I wish more super-hero cartoons took liberties like this for character development!

Full-Time Art dump 1 - flash animation and game art
So, some people may be curious as to what I do as my current full-time job: I make artwork and animations for mobile games, used on iOS, Android, and iPad!
Below are some examples of in-game screen shots for the current team I work on which is a slots game (you can download it for free, here for iphone, or here for android). Along with a mass dump of animated gifs for some select game-animations I've created.
We actually had a frame-cap; characters were set at no more than 8 frames (at 10fps) and game pieces at 6 frames (also, 10fps). Phew!
More to come soon!

Bad hair day

Another illustration. This one had been bothering me for sometime so it had yet to be posted. Until today! At the last minute, her hair became gray for reasons I wish I had to explain to you. ...Can I still use the lame excuse, 'aesthetically pleasing to the eye'...?
Currently, I am intrigued by bountee and their t-shirt designing competition. ...If I can figure out the fun parts of vector illustration, I'd be glad to join in. Also, I've just signed on to do a small comic from Unleased Productions, a new and upcoming publishing company slash soon-to-be cartooning studio slash likeminded individuals who want to quit their day jobs and do their passion of illustration/sequential art full-time too. It'll be interesting to say the least; I've never done a team effort for comics where someone else inks my work and then another individual colors it in. It worked out for many, many others so I'm being pretty openminded to it. Not sure I'll be able to post anything here from Unleashed, but it's alright. More of my own stuff to come soon if my wrist can handle any inking tomorrow.
Also... if anyone knows any great tips and tricks for Flash animation, I'm teaching myself the program over the next few weeks. Grace me with your insight!
